We're looking for students who love being in front of a crowd to host our cooking events at unis across the UK.

If you're confident speaking to groups, can make people laugh while explaining how to not burn pasta, and want presenting/public speaking experience that actually looks good on a CV, this is for you!

About the role

You'll be the host of our student cooking events - presenting the content, running games and competitions with the crowd, answering questions and handing out resources.

Why join us

  • Flexible work - pick the events and dates that suit you
  • Boost your presenting and public speaking skills, and get valuable experience for your CV
  • Paid training and travel expenses
  • Be part of a fun, friendly, and supportive team
  • Competitive salary up to £15 per hour

What we're looking for:

  • Outgoing and enthusiastic - You bring a fun and energetic energy, adding charisma and personality.
  • Public speaking pro - You’re comfortable presenting to large groups of students (sometimes 200 or more!) or in front of the camera.
  • Quick learner - You’re able to pick up new information quickly and adapt to changing scripts and session formats.
  • Adaptable - You’re keen to improve and take feedback on board.
  • Some experience with speaking to groups is helpful but not required - this could be as a student ambassador, performer, presenter, events host, activity leader, content creator or similar role. Or any experience from personal projects or hobbies is great too!
  • Bonus points if you’ve got experience with cooking or food (but no worries if not - full training is provided!).

This role includes travelling to universities - we’ll try to match you to events at unis near you so you're not travelling too far. We'll also arrange your travel for you and pay your expenses. Events usually take place on weekday afternoons or evenings.

‍Sounds like you?

Complete an application, and if you sound like a good fit, we'll get in touch for an informal video call to find out more about you.

‍Not sure if you meet 100% of the requirements?

If this role excites you and you reckon you’ve got the vibe and some of the skills, we’d still love to hear from you. You might be just the person we’re looking for.
